Definitely not a movie to judge by its cover. its so raw, and artistic, witty and fun. its these sorts of oddities of films that have made saoirse ronan one of my favorite actresses. though this isn't a major role for her, the moments they give her are wonderful. as the entirety of the film is. its so refreshing to not be overwhelmed in a movie by romance or lust, but to be obsessed with an vision that feels almost lost while you watch it, though its obviously keeping something alive. i want to say its unique, the stop motion scenes they do, taking miniature sets and forcing perspective never feel cheesy or out of touch. while my only complaint could be, there is a lot of pink, the sets are magnificent.

A delightful film that is equal parts charming and quirky. The movie boasts a star-studded cast, including Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton, and Bill Murray, who bring the eccentric characters to life in a hilarious and heartwarming way. The cinematography is stunning, and the set design transports you to a whimsical and colorful world that is both nostalgic and fantastical. The plot is clever and engaging, weaving together humor, suspense, and emotion seamlessly. While the movie may not be everyone's cup of tea, it is undoubtedly a must-see for fans of Wes Anderson's unique style of filmmaking. Overall, I would highly recommend "The Grand Budapest Hotel" for its exceptional performances, stunning visuals, and compelling storyline.

I very much enjoyed the humor while also talking in the creativity of the shots in this movie. Each scene shows so much and pulls away form the chopped up shooting of modern movies. They pull wide views so you can see many things going on and they fit so much cinematography into each picture. The sledding scene took the winner as the music and fast pace reminds me of the well made claymation I grew up with. This was a very great movie I would recommend.

Wow the aesthetics were gorgeous they were literally stunning. The sound track was great. But the characters were so unlikable. Gustav was so bad. I could not get invested in his story when he was a gigantic creep. Yeah the other characters were fine but you forget them an hour after watching. Also the story was incredibly boring and un interesting. So yeah I expected better when the ascetics and the soundtrack were so good I give it a 4/10 Would never revisit.
